Essential Supplies stock a large range of paper ball lanterns. Available in various sizes, colours, patterns and styles. The chinese lanterns collapse for easy storage. As well as the plain white paper lantern, we now stock silver, red, blue, green, yellow and orange in 16 inch and 12 inch. Great for lighting in your marquee, at weddings, or birthday parties.

Essential Supplies stocks a range of fluroscent striplights ideal for warehouse lighting. Coming soon, we will have full stocks of warehouse/factory lighting. The range will include 150w and 400w Low and High Bay HQIs,or SONs ideal for temporay storage locations or warehousing.

Lighting Effects

Essential Supplies UK Ltd has a range of Lighting Effects from coloured gels (either whole sheets or squares to fit our uplighters, par 56s and Par64s), Mirrorballs for discos and dancefloors and rope lights which are useful for funky lighting or to highlight walkways.

LED Lighting

Essential Supplies UK Ltd stocks a wide range of LED Lighting. LED lighting is great as it uses low power, does not generate heat and lamps last for a lifetime whilst producing millions of colours without using lighting filters.

We are offering a new range of exceptionally well priced LED lights that will offer the performance demanded by professionals and with the power to light small to large venues. LED lights produce wonderful strong deep colours, rather than bright whites.

We are currently stocking LED pinspots, LED floorcans, LED Par56, LED Par64s, LED outdoor floodlights, each has a different effect, some use 10mm LEDs, some use 1 watt LEDs, some use Ultrabright LEDs.

Stage Lighting

Essential Supplies stock a large range of stage lighting, ideal for theatre productions, gigs or for lighting within your marquee or event venue. We hold in stock, a large range of PAR cans PAR16, PAR30, PAR36, pinspots, pinspot banks, PAR56, PAR64. We also stock a range of profiles and fresnels and now stock a range of lasers.

Christmas Lights

As well as traditional Christmas lights we now stock a connectable series of fairy lights on white or black string. These are available with warm or cold white LEDs. The white strings are great for inside your marquees, for weddings or parties, you can use infront or behind the linings as they do not get hot. Great for parties, weddings, are sutitable for interior and exterior use.

Strip Lights

Essential Supplies have just launched their NEW waterproof industrial striplights for harsh environments. Available in 5 foot twin and single and 2 foot twin versions, these are ideal for hire companies or places where plastic waterproof fittings are not tough enough.

The existing range still includes the double 5 foot striplights and the single 5 foot striplights in a GRP body and polycarbonate diffuser.

Low Energy Lights

Essential Supplies UK Ltd supply two low energy lights. The Low Energy floodlight is ideal for lighting walkways, paths and entrances with low heat output that can be used to uplight marquees. The 38w Task Light is a tough light designed for the work environment that provides a high lumin at low energy consumption.

Exterior Lighting

Essential Supplies UK Ltd stock a range of Exterior Lighting. Choose from Festoon, High Power Flood Lights, Halogen Floodlights and Garden Spots.

Emergency Lighting

Maintained Lighting. The emergency lights are always on and continue to be lit for up to 3 hours after the power fails, using their back up batteries.
Non Maintained Lighting Only lights up once the power has failed and will be lit for 3 hours using backup batteries.
Legal Requirements The need for emergency lighting varies around the country with different fire officers.
The main principles are: Public Functions i.e. where the public pay to enter a venue, maintained lighting is essential.
Private Functions i.e. events not open to the general public, only require non maintained lighting.

How to work out your Dimming Load
Number of Lamps x Lamp Rating in watts (w)
Eg. 8 Uplighters fitted with an 80w bulb and 2 x 5 arm chandeliers fitted with 60w bulbs:
Uplighters 8 (lamps) x 80 (watts) = 640watts
Chandeliers 10 (lamps) x 60 (watts) = 600watts
640watts + 600watts =1240watts. In this example you could either use one of the 2500 watt dimmers or two of the 750 watt dimmers./ (One for the chandeliers, one for the Uplighters)
